The Book I am Currently Working on...

I have finished my first contemporary fiction book! After months of working on it and pushing myself to finish before the end of the year, I did. I am putting it on the shelf for a couple of weeks before I pick it up and edit it. The only thing I will share about this story is that it is a love triangle!

The issue is, I got another idea for another book that I have started working on... I am so excited about it. This next book is in the early stages, and I have barely reached fifty pages. I cannot stop thinking about this book and all its ideas.

I would not be surprised if I end up focusing on this book and putting it out before the contemporary. It is more on the fantasy side, but many details haven't been fleshed out yet. However, my best friend is one of the biggest inspirations for this book.

It started with a TikTok of stories that people feel they don't see enough of. We were on the phone going back and forth about it when the idea was sparked. I have not talked to her about too many details, per her request, because she wants to be surprised when she reads it.

It is completely different than any other genre I have ever written. It is fun. It is new. It is probably going to take longer to finish than I think. I think it will be a fresh take in a more saturated genre.
